Public Relations has always been a passion of Dr. Alonia's. She even recalls writing in her college application essay to Spelman that she wanted to become a spokesperson for a large corporation. Well, she has certainly made her mark; and, she learned from some of Atlanta's best: Lou and Teresa Walker, Al Anderson, Bettye Davis, Toni O'Neal Mosley, Carolyn Jernigan Glenn, Renee (Dixon) Bentley, just to name a few. Combining her creative abilities as a journalist with her love for music and story telling, every event is a production....and she loves every minute of it! The clip shown here is from the This Is It! Black History 2023 Honors where she was entrusted with producing the entire event. It was a tremendous success.

As quiet as its kept, music is Dr. Alonia's first love. From starting out in her home church's children's choir, to school productions in elementary school, to talent shows in middle and high school, to pageants in college, to weddings, family reunions, special tributes, home going celebrations, and other special events, she has always delighted in sharing the gift of song.  She is best described as a versatile song stylist who does well in her favorite genres of Jazz, Neo-Soul, R&B, and, of course, Gospel.
